ESR6 – MULTI SCALAR MODELLING FOR BUILDING DESIGN

AUTHOR: Paul Poinet

Multi-Scalar Modelling for Free-form Timber Structures (ESR 6) from Innochain Research on Vimeo.

Ongoing research on the modelling of free-form timber structures across scales. An abstract network is projected onto a master surface and generates information required for further fabrication: maximum bending radii, segmentation strategies (at the nodes or through different patches), glass panels can be easily be accessed and checked by the user.
Further work will investigate the potential feedback that can occur across levels.
Developed by Paul Poinet (InnoChain ESR 6 – CITA) in Rhino/Grasshopper using NetworkX and GraphViz.
